Ralph Simone – “Slow Down to Go Faster: The Power of Pause”
Inspired by actor, martial artist, and philosopher Chuck Norris, and based on research from the Slow Movement in Italy, Ralph Simone of Emergent shares the practices that will get you into “flow” state and optimize your performance simply by slowing down.
“Our relentless need for speed isn’t working,” Ralph says. “It is not sustainable. We jam too many activities into a defined time, we schedule back-to-back-to-back meetings, we skip meals, we go to bed late and get up early.” In this talk, you’ll learn how slowing down everything from breathing, eating, thinking, and moving can make you more receptive, resilient, and productive.
Ralph has spent over a quarter of a century helping individuals and organizations transform themselves, raise their consciousness, and perform at their fullest potential. As a Black Belt in karate and an avid reader, Ralph understands the benefits of consistent practice and continuous learning as an integral part of leadership development.
This presentation was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
