Driving Performance

To ensure that organizations are sustaining the performance needed to remain competitive and relevant, every leader must have a keen focus on that performance. By attracting and retaining the best talent and fostering a culture of engagement, leaders enjoy teams that outperform the norms.

Creating the conditions for individuals and teams to achieve their greatest potential is some of the most important work of leaders. Too many leaders are lost working IN their business, while leaders with high-performing teams know and actively work ON their businesses.

James Clear, author of “Atomic Goals,” suggests that winners and losers both have goals; however, goals alone are not sufficient for performance and achievements. Winners – leaders – have not only the goals but the systems that lead to the attainment of those goals.

The Emergent Leader program is a systematic approach to leadership that ultimately arrives at this fifth and final leadership fundamental of Driving Performance. Through this course, developing leaders learn the skills of goal-setting and providing effective recognition and feedback while coaching people to their highest potential  – all elements of an effective leader.
